Course description:
This course builds on students' knowledge of the key rules of Tajweed. Students will review select topics covered in the beginner Tajweed course and explore new material. Subjects include: nun sakina, meem sakina, laam sakina, idgham and madd. These topics will be covered using the text Tuhfat al-Atfaal (English translation will be provided) to expose participants to the traditional method of learning tajweed. Each session includes explanations of the rules as well as recitation time.
Prerequisite: Open to adult students who have either i) completed a beginner tajweed course; or ii) have not studied the theoretical rules but recite with tajweed.
Note: Due to the nature of course, classes are held live and are not recorded. Students will need a working microphone and webcam to participate in the class.
Qualified Teacher
Learn with a Teacher who has memorized the Qur'an and who has received Ijaazah from Scholars. Dr. Julie has also taught for a number of years and has the right mix of experience and skill/knowledge
Small Class Size
This Class will have a maximum of sixteen students; there will be ample time for practice of lessons learned.
