Course Description

This course is designed for those who can recite the Qur'an but wish to memorize Select Surahs under the guidance of a teacher. The accountability to a teacher is an established motivational strategy that produces results.

Students will follow the Recitation of the teacher during class and work diligently during the week to complete the assigned memorization.

The course is open to both brothers and sisters, and accommodation will be made for private assessments for sisters.

Prerequisite: Please note that this is not a Beginner's Course and students who cannot recite with basic level of fluency and pronunciation will not be admitted.

Qari Abdul Fatah Jahedar has a Bachelors of Law from Tripoli University and an Ijazah in The Memorization and Recitation of Qur'an from the Awqaf Ministry in Libya. He is a reciter of international repute and has participated in and won a number of international Quran and Nasheed competitions. He is currently an Imam and teacher at the Islamic Institute of Toronto.
