About the instructor
Dr Abdullah Hakim Quick is a historian, social activist and religious leader of African and Native American descent. He has travelled to over 58 countries doing research and delivering lectures to various communities. His qualification in Islamic Studies comes from a BA from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia and his history background is shaped by an MA and PhD from the History Department of the University of Toronto, Canada. Shaikh Abdullah is currently a senior instructor at the Islamic Institute of Toronto.
This course will look at the major milestones in the life of a Human Being. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the different stages of existence and how to identify the transition points. The main stages are:
Conception and The life in the Womb.
Birth and the Life in this World.
Death and the life in the Barzakh (Grave period).
The Minor and Major signs of the Day of Judgment.
The Resurrection and the Last Day of Judgment (Qiyaamah).
The Siraat (Path to the Final Abode)
The Final Abode of Paradise and Jahannum (Hell).
Special attention will be paid to the phases of the Dunya (this world) like childhood, growth, marriage, family, etc.
Also interesting new information about the Signs of the Last Day.
