About the Instructor

Khalid Raheem is a bilingual copy editor by profession with a BA from the University of Toronto in French and Spanish and has a very strong background in foreign languages. He has been a student of the Arabic language for over 15 years under Shaikh Abdul Hamid, and has taught all 3 books of Dr. Abdur Rahim's world-famous Madina grammar course over the last 8 years. He has been the copy editor for Books 3-5 of the new coloured version of the respected doctor's Arabic grammar books, and is the copy editor of his English novel entitled Europe Speaks Arabic.

Khalid subscribes to the philosophy that grammatical concepts of a foreign language are best understood if explained in simple terms students can relate to in their own language. Students are encouraged to observe where Arabic grammar differs from English, and where it is similar, thereby making many grammatical rules easier to understand. This unique approach to teaching has made Khalid one of the most sought-after teachers of Arabic grammar in the GTA.
